The 4^th Qualifying Tournament of Alabama Bass Federation Inc, 2008 season was held 5-7 June 2008 on Lake Guntersville, out of Goose Pond Colony, Jackson County and Scottsboro, Alabama hosted the tournament and welcomed Federation Anglers.  Anglers were confronted with little to no breeze with hot weather conditions; however these conditions did not prevent anglers from locating and catching fish.

Claiming tournament top honor was Hadley Coan of North Alabama Tournament Anglers with a limit of fish with a weight of 23.57 pounds.  Timothy W. Brown of North Alabama Tournament Angles was second with a limit weighing 23.42; Mike Rains of Dixieland Bassmasters with a weight of 20.51 was third; Todd C. Dalrymple of Dekalb Bassmasters was forth with a weight of 19.96 pounds and Johnny Harper of Dekalb Bassmasters was fifth with a weight of 19.92 pounds.

As the winner of the 4^th Qualifying Tournament, Hadley Coan joins Joseph Webster, of Dixie Bass Club; Jeff Clark, of Winfield Bass Masters and Jim Boyle, of B F Goodrich Bass Anglers as 2008 / 2009 Alabama Bass Federation Inc., State Team Members.  The remaining team members will be determined at the 2008 State Championship Tournament, 26-27 September 2008, Lewis Smith Lake, Jasper, Alabama.

David Frogue, Bobby Pounds, Mike Rains, Phil Scribner, Jamie Smith and Kevin Stubblefield of Dixieland Bassmasters Team #2 claimed the top team honors with a cumulative weight of 85.40 pounds.  Dekalb Bassmasters Team #2 was second with a weight of 80.35 pounds.

Big fish for the tournament was 6.26 pounds presented to the scales by Gene Smith of Carbon Hill Bass Club.

Two-hundred-three anglers have now qualified for the 2008 Alabama Bass Federation Inc, State Championship Tournament by qualifying by fishing the qualifying tournament.  A weight of at least 9.29 pounds was needed at this tournament to qualify for the State Championship Tournament.  One Hundred fourteen anglers were qualified for the State Championship Tournament based upon Angler of Year Standings.  A total of three-hundred-seventeen anglers are qualified to participate at the 2008 Alabama Bass Federation Inc., State Championship Tournament.  State Championship Tournament is 24-27 September 2008, Lewis Smith, Jasper, Alabama.  Anglers whom have qualified will be receiving an entry from during the month of July.

The pursuit for Alabama Bass Federation 2008 Angler of the Year remains tight.  Rusty Burroughs has retained the lead.  Following the State Tournament the Angler of the Year will be determined.
