Lake Eufaula Tournament Results

The 4th Qualifying Tournament of Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., 2015 season was at Lake Eufaula, Eufaula, 2 May, 2015, launching out of Lakepoint State Park. Dedicated Federation Anglers were met with favorable weather conditions for official practice and tournament days.

 

TBWMay2015TrAt the closing of the scales Bryan Wright, Coosa River Hookers, of the Angler Division, seized the top Angler position with a limit that weighted 20.19. Richard Payne of Coosa River Hookers finished 2nd place with a limit that weighted 17.66. Jamie Hardy of Shotgun Sports Supply finished 3rd with a weight of 16.97; Rickie Harp of Shoal Creek Bass Chasers was 4th with 16.22; Taylor Watkins of Locust Fork Bassmasters was 5th with 15.55 and was followed by Lee Oliver of Alabama Ranger Club 6th finisher with 15.10 .  AMay2015Tr

In the Co-Angler Division Dennis Sandoval of Morgan County Bass Club claimed the top Co-Angler position with a limit that weighted 20.77. Joey Stewart of Shotgun Sports Supply was 2nd place Co-Angler with 15.75; Allen Henry of North Alabama Tournament Anglers, was 3rd with 15.21; Mike Crowe of Locust Fork Bassmasters was 4th with 12.03; Nathan Rowe of Coosa Valley Hookers was 5th with 11.71 and 6th was Billy Weatherbee of Tennessee Valley Bass Club with 11.61.

Big fish of the tournament was landed by Taylor Watkins of Locus Fork Bassmasters with a weight of 6.34.

Total Boat Weight honors of the tournament was won by Bryan Wright of Coosa Rover HookersTBWMay2015Tr and Dennis Sandoval of Morgan Count Bass Club with a weight of 40.90. Richard Payne of Coosa River Hookers and Allen Henry of North Alabama Tournament Anglers finished 2nd with 32.87 and Bill Spice of Shotgun Sports Supply and Mike Crowe of Locust Fork Bassmasters were 3rd with 26.04, followed by Chuck Thurlow and Joey Stewart of Shotgun Sports Supply with 24.67.

Of the Clubs that participated in the Club Team Competition Locust Fork Bassmasters emerged as the winning team with a weight of 50.53. Team members were David Davis, Jonas Dobbs, James Moore, Claude Simpson, Zac Smith and Taylor Watkins. Alabama Ranger Club was second with 48.56 and Pine Level Bassmasters was 3rd with 38.07.

Of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Team Rickie Harp of Shoal Creek Bass Chasers was the top finisher of the team members and will receive a $250.00 bonus provided by Airport Marine.

Chris Newell of Tri-County Bassmasters and James Moore of Locust Fork Bassmasters were the top finishers of the tournament participating in the Ranger Cup and will be receiving bonus money from the Ranger Cup program.

State Championship Tournament is 17-19 September, Lake Guntersville, Scottsboro, AL. The race for the Angler of Year Standings in Angler and Co-Angler Division remains a very close race.
