Connor Schrader, of Fort Payne Wildcats Fishing Team, was Alabama’s representative at The Bass Federation (TBF) 2015, Junior World Championship Tournament. Connor, won the 2015 Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., State Championship Tournament on Lay Lake in May 2015. There were 39 Junior Anglers competing in the JWC tournament. On day one of the competition Connor was competing against the junior anglers representing the Southern Division (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The junior angler from each Division with the most weight qualified to fish the final day, competing for scholarship funds. Unfortunately Connor did not advance to the final day of completion.
Connor was accompanied to the event by his family and all reported to have had a great time. Following the event Connor advised that he would attempt to qualify for the 2016 JWC Tournament by winning the Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., 2016 Junior State Championship Tournament.
The 2016 Forest L Woods Cup Tournament is scheduled to be held at Lake Guntersville, Guntersville, AL. TBF Junior World Championship Tournament which accompanies the FLW Cup will also be held on Alabama waters. Location of the JWC has not been announced.
