Students representing schools from FT Payne; Cedar Bluff; Plainview; Sylvania; Alexandria; Tuscaloosa; North Jackson and Indian Springs competed on 10/03/2015 in the first of three qualifying tournaments of Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., JR/HS 2016 season was at Neely Henry, Gadsden, launching out of Coosa Landing. Student Anglers were faced with rain for most of the tournament day.
Following the closing of the scales the team of Bailey Dukes and Austin Brown of Plainview High School Fishing Team emerged as the top finishing team with a limit with a weight of 14.76. Second place honors was the team of Will Nichols and Will Brown of Alexandria High School Fishing with 14.75.Third place was captured by Hunter Porter and Cade Crockett of Need 5 Fishing of Tuscaloosa with 12.68.
The next JR/HS qualifying tournament will be on 7 November, 2015, Lake Martin out of wind Creek State Park. Come join the fun and completive atmosphere of junior and student angler completion.
