JR/HS State Championship Tournament

Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., conducted its 2017 junior / High School State Championship Tournament on Lake Martin, Alexander City, AL launching out of Wind Creek State Park on June 2-3, 2017. Junior and High School anglers representing Prattville Christian Academy, Ft Payne Wildcats, Indian Springs School, Sand Rock High School and Cedar Bluff High School participated in the tournament. These young anglers were very enthusiastically and looking forward to the tournament.
At the close of the scales of Day 1 Seth Justin – Ethan Clanton of Sand Rock Wildcats lead the High School Division with 12.14. Colan McCullough – Hunter Bailey of Cedar Bluff were second with 9.02 and in third was Kaylon Hardy- Benjamin Echols with 8.14. Of the Junior angles of Day 1 Levi Cox of Sand Rock Wildcats had the lead with 6.01 followed Colton Cash also of Sand Rock Wildcats with 5.03. Everett Jones of Prattville Christian Academy was third with 4.00.
On Day 2 Seth Justin – Ethan Clanton managed to weight 9.03 giving them the win with 22.01.
Grant Robison – Brody Robison of Sand Rock Wildcats had the heaviest bag with 11.15 on Day 2 giving them a total of 20.04, which threaten the lead of Justin-Clanton; however Justin – Clanton took 1st Place of the High School Division. Grant Robison – Brody Robison were second, Colan McCullough – Hunter Bailey of Cedar Bluff finished third with 17.05
The race to the finish was also exciting in the Junior Division Colton Cash of Sand Rock Wildcats 5.11 weight of Day 2 pushed him to the winner’s position of the Junior Division with a total weight of 10.14.
Everett Jones of Prattville Christian Academy grabbed second place with a total weight of 7.15. Levi Cox of Sand Rock Wildcats finished third with 7.06.
