Tournament Results Lay Lake 05/21/2016

 

2016 season final Qualifying Tournament of Alabama Bass Federation, Inc., was hosted at Lay Lake, Beeswax launch, Shelby County, Al.  Federation Anglers seeking to achieve Angler of Years points showed up to increase their AOY standings. Tournament day was pleasant with some clouds and sunshine during the day.

DG-1stPlace-LayAt the conclusion of tournament day Danny Grantham of L A Po Boys took top honors of the Angler Division with a weight of 17.90 finishing ahead of Randall Blackmon of Coosa River Hookers who had 17.38. Third of Angler Division was Stephen Rogers of Pine Level Bassmasters with 16.71. In 4th was James Moore of Locust Fork Bassmasters with 16.13. Rounding out the top five the Angler Division was Robbie Pelt, of Alabama Ranger Club with 14.86. 

 

TP-CoA-1stplaceLayThe Co-Angler top position was claimed by Terry Pinkard of Morgan County Bass Club,  with 11.78.  Finishing 2nd was Todd Dalrymple of Dekalb Bassmasters with 11.69, 3rd was Clayton Mosley of L A Po Boys with 10.60, 4th was Jason Blackmon of Coosa River Hookers with 10.25 and Tony Hill of North Alabama Tournament Anglers finished in the top five of the Co-Anglers with 9.20.

 

Total Boat Weight honors was claimed by Danny Grantham / Clayton Mosley of  L A Po Boys with 28.50. John Thornton / Nathan Stephen had a combined weight of 23.75 and were followed by Roy Galbraith / Darryl Witherspoon with 23.49.

Team-Lay-Lake

Team competition was claimed Locust Fork Bassmasters with a weight of 54.76. Team members were David Davis, Andrew McCombs, James Moore, Zac Smith, Ronald Tidwell and Taylor Watkins.  Coosa Rivers Hookers team had 44.55 followed by Pine Level Bassmasters with 44.17.

Ricky Harp, of Alabama Ranger Club was the highest finishing team member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Team and will receive a $250.00 bonus provided by Airport Marine.

James Moore of Locust Fork Bassmasters was the top finisher of the tournament participating in the Ranger Cup and will be receiving bonus money from the Ranger Cup program.

Our next tournament is the State Championship Tournament which is scheduled for 23-24 September 2016, Weiss Lake. The race of AOY points is tight and the State Tournament will be the determining tournament.  Remember bonus money will be awarded to the Angler and Co-Angler Angler of the Year.  Also eligibility to participate in the National Semi-Finals Tournament scheduled for 15-16 October, Neely Henry is also open to Anglers and Co-Anglers and will be determined by AOY standings and standing results of the State Tournament.
